Prem Anand reviews every calculator on Calxo before it goes live. His role is specific: check that the formula matches the actual statute, confirm the numbers against published rates from RBI, CBDT, AMFI, and EPFO, and flag any scenario where the calculator output could mislead someone making a real financial decision.

His review covers the logic layer, not the copy. So for the EMI calculator, that means verifying the reducing-balance formula matches the RBI Master Direction on interest calculation. For the income tax calculator, it means running the new and old regime slabs against CBDT’s FY 2025-26 notification and checking that marginal relief and surcharge thresholds are handled correctly.

Each calculator formula is traced to its source statute: RBI Master Directions, Income Tax Act, EPFO circulars, or GST Council notifications.

Rate verification

Current rates (tax slabs, PF %, gratuity ceiling, TDS thresholds) are cross-checked against the most recent CBDT, EPFO and RBI publications.

Edge case testing

Marginal relief, surcharge thresholds, partial-year scenarios and boundary conditions are tested with worked examples.

Sign-off

Only calculators that pass all three checks carry the Reviewed by Prem Anand badge. The review is repeated each financial year.
